Monika Lis

Art teacher
My name is Monika and I really enjoy being an Art teacher in Primary school. From my early years I was a very creative child - using scissors, paper and fabrics was my favourite hobby, so year after year I was developing my talent. In primary school I tried to invest all my energy on decorations and art competitions. After high school I went to Pomorska Academy and I started seriously to learn how to create real art- sculpture and graphics, and painting. During my studies I was creating, sewing and selling clothes for young people from subcultures in Poland. It was a really nice experience for me and very satisfying to make something that gave a lift to someone else. It was quite difficult to buy clothes that differed from the standard commercial style and that is why many people were very pleased about what I could offer.
After my studies I decided to move to France for one year to learn the French language and about French culture. In Paris I had an excellent opportunity to observe art not only in museums but also in life – streets, food and architecture. It was also a great opportunity to work there with French children, where I gave sculpture lessons and some piano classes. This was one of the best times of my life and confirmed that working with children is what I want to do in my future. p>
