Kevin D'Arcy

School Director, Teacher of Physics and Mathematics
My teaching career started in Australia. I worked in various schools around Sydney as a Mathematics and Physics teacher, and in the Universities of Wollongong and New South Wales (UNSW). At the University of Wollongong, I taught across a range of subjects and lectured in logic and Greek philosophy.
Since leaving Australia in 2000 I have been living in Europe. For three years I taught in Dublin, my Irish father’s home city. Since then I have been living in Poland, where I taught Mathematics for two years at The British School, Warsaw. I then moved to Wroclaw to join a team to start up a new British International School Wrocław, where I was the Foundational Head of Secondary School. Following the overwhelming success of this school and identifying the need of a quality British international school in Gdansk, I decided to open a new school, here in the beautiful Polish seaside tri-city.
I have a broad range of interests. I am as interested in the arts, especially philosophy, as I am in the mathematical sciences. When it comes to sport, I would rather participate than spectate. I enjoy squash and cycling, and long walks along the beach and in the woods around Sopot. I always like trying out something new. For example, in the past few years I have taken up choir singing and was a member of the Warsaw Chamber Choir. I have also recently been involved in public speaking with Toastmasters Polska.
