It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the British International School Gdańsk (BISG). I trust that this website gives you an insight into what we offer the international and local community in Gdańsk and the surrounding area. We opened our school in September 2007. Since then we have already included teachers, parents and students from the U.S.A., Holland, Lithuania, Latvia, Norway, Romania, Germany, Italy, Columbia, Denmark, Australia, England, India, Japan and of course, Poland. For prospective parents, pupils or teachers, please contact us, or visit us and we would be delighted to show you our dynamic and developing school.

Biology

Hello! I teach Biology and General Sciences. I have been interested in biology, especially botany, since I was a child. None of the plants escape my notice! The consequence of my passion is that I have studied biology for almost 10 years in Krakow. During this time I also studied Romanian Language and Literature and I have recently graduated with a Master degree.

During my PhD studies I taught laboratory and field courses for university students. I have also taught English in Vietnam (Vietnamese American Training College) where I was living for a year, before moving to Gdańsk.

I like foreign languages and I speak English, Romanian and French. Because I enjoy nature so much, I also like hiking, cycling and all kinds of active ways of spending free time. I love mountains, especially the Carpathians in Romania.
